Auckland to Auckland

Day one: Auckland - The City of Sails
Upon arrival at Auckland Airport, pick up your rental vehicle. This day is free for you to relax and explore the city area.

Places to visit:
Viaduct Basin. This vibrant waterfront precinct was developed to provide a focus for America's Cup Yacht Race. Great also for nighttime entertainment with it's many cafes and bars.
Sky City. Towering at a height of 328 meters, this is one of New Zealand's most popular entertainment destinations. With 2 casinos, ten restaurants and bars, and from the Observation level the best view of Auckland City and surrounding areas.
Shopping. Queen Street, Vulcan Lane, High Street, O'Connell Street and Chancery.


Day Two: Rotorua
Drive south to Rotorua, a journey of approx 3.5 hours. Rotorua is one of the Pacific's most active thermal areas and a place of vibrant Maori culture and great natural beauty. You can view magnificent examples of mud pools, geyers and steaming fumaroles. Some of the many geothermal areas are Wai-o-tapu, Waimangu or Hell's Gate. Surrounding Rotorua are 14 beautiful lakes offering fishing, water sports or maybe try your hand at white water rafting, lunging or tandem skydiving


Day Three: Hawkes Bay/Napier
Take the drive to the east coast through Taupo (approximately 3.5 hours).
Hawkes Bay is fast gaining prominence as a region producing premium wines. The Hawkes Bay has a great selection of vineyards within just a few minutes of each other.


Day Four: Hawkes Bay/Napier
Have the day to explore some of the great vineyards that the Hawkes Bay has to offer.


Day Five: Waiarapa
Drive south to the Waiarapa approximately 4 hours.
The Waiarapa is another great place in New Zealand for producing grapes.


Day Six: Waiarapa
Have the day to explore the vineyards. Hire a bike to have a bit of fun. The vineyards are a stones through away from the city centre.


Dave Seven: Wellington
Drive south once again to the capital city of New Zealand, Wellington. This is approximately a 3 hour drive. Wellington is a great place to enjoy a great meal and some of the great restaurants that Wellington has to offer.


Day Eight:
Wellington
Visit Te Papa (New Zealand's famous museum). This will take
most of the day and is a lively and exciting museum, for adults and children
alike. Main entry is free of charge; specialty exhibitions may incur a fee.


Day Nine: Blenheim
Take the trip on the Interisland Ferry from Wellington to Picton. Once in Picton take the short trip south to Blenheim. Situated in the largest and best-known New Zealand wine region.


Day Ten: Blenheim
Have the day to explore some of the great vineyards that New Zealand has to offer. There is a great variety to choose from.


Day Eleven: Wellington
Ferry back to Wellington, take the time to enjoy the things you missed out on the first time.


Day Twelve: Taupo
While in Taupo experience Huka Falls and Huka Jets. Huka jets will make you feel the exhilaration and enjoy the incredible water view of the spectacular, foaming Huka Falls.


Day Thirteen: Auckland
Take the time to enjoy the things you missed out on the first time


Day Fourteen: Auckland
Return your rental vehicle and meet your flight for your return home.
