Coronation Park is situated within the township of Ashburton, yet is totally secluded and sheltered from traffic and residential housing. Established approximately 30 years ago, our park is small and relaxing with delightful grounds and trees. Whether you want to simply relax by the pool or under a shady tree, or experience the attractions of the mid-Canterbury area we are ideally situated. Ashburton is located between the mountains and the sea (20 minutes east and west) and two renowned fishing rivers (20 minutes north and south), thus making it a natural centre to stay for all recreational pursuits (e.g. skiing, fishing, rafting, jet boating, horse riding, hot-air ballooning, golfing etc.) We are also within easy walking distance of the town centre, hospital, racecourse, showgrounds and restaurants. Experience our friendly hospitality, peace and quiet and truly relax.

This park is unique, nature at its best. Nestled in the Hunters Hills adjacent to native bush. Our special features are the Nocturnal and Twilight Bush Walks and the Farmyard Animal Park. You can discover Bennetts Wallabies (liberated here in 1874 and the only place in NZ where they roam free) and kiwi bears (opossums) wandering free in the native bush. The Animal Park has animals to pet, feed and milk and eggs to collect. Although a small park, we offer huge hospitality, a place to enjoy a peaceful clean, green environment and wake up to the sound of bellbirds. Easy access to bush walks, golf course, swimming pool and fishing. Our accommodation offers full modern facilities with a playground for children.
